Order Cancellation and Reschedule Policy

These terms and conditions govern MEATO FOODTECH’s (“MEATO”) Order Cancellation and Reschedule Policy. Any capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning assigned to them under the Terms of Service which govern your use of our website www.meato.in (the “Website”) and our MEATO mobile application for handheld devices (the “App”). The Website and App are collectively referred to as the “Platform.” By placing an order with MEATO, the Customer (“You”/“User”) agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this Order Cancellation and Reschedule Policy.

1. Cancellation of Orders

  • Scheduled Orders:
    • Users placing scheduled orders may cancel their orders free of charge if the cancellation request is made at least 2 hours before the scheduled delivery slot start time.
    • Cancellation requests made after this time window will incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the order value.
  • Express Orders:
    • Users placing express orders may cancel their orders free of charge within 5 minutes of placing the order.
    • Any cancellation requests made after this window will result in a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the order value.
  • MEATO’s Right to Cancel or Suspend Orders:
    • MEATO reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or cancel any order at its discretion if the user’s cancellation history indicates misuse of this policy or any other related policy. MEATO may charge a penalty of up to 100% of the order value and take appropriate legal actions if necessary.
  • Pay Online on Delivery (POD) Orders:
    • For POD orders, MEATO reserves the right to recover the cancellation fee (up to 100%) from the User in subsequent orders.
  • Penalty for Cancellations Due to User Error:
    • MEATO reserves the right to impose a penalty of up to 100% of the order value for cancellations resulting from reasons not attributable to MEATO, including:
      • Incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the User.
      • The delivery address falling outside the delivery zone.
      • Failure to reach the User by phone at the time of delivery.
      • Failure to deliver due to lack of information, direction, or authorization from the User at the time of delivery.
  • Cancellations Attributable to MEATO:
    • If the cancellation is due to reasons attributable to MEATO, no penalty will be charged to the User.

2. Reschedule of Orders

  • Scheduled Orders:
    • Users who have placed scheduled orders may reschedule their order up to two times free of charge, provided the rescheduling request is made 2 hours prior to the scheduled slot start time.
  • Express Orders:
    • Users placing express orders may reschedule their order once free of charge, as long as the rescheduling request is made before the order is delivered.

3. Amendments

MEATO reserves the right to change, amend, add, delete, or modify this policy at any time without notice. The User acknowledges that they will not be personally informed of any changes. It is the User’s responsibility to regularly check for updates to this policy. By placing an order with MEATO, the User agrees to be bound by the most current version of the policy.
